Nessa is our Social Media Maven. She handles all things Instagram, design, website creation, as well as writing copy. If you spot her in the salon, she’s most likely filming & taking photos of all the gorgeous Lush babes as they work!
WHAT BRINGS YOU JOY IN THE MORNING?
Feeling rested. Having a healthy & functioning body that will carry me throughout the day with whatever it is I want to do. Also, knowing that my life is filled with the most brilliant and loving people. All of these things fill me up with so much joy, and I really do wonder how I got so lucky.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT LUSH?
I love the energy. I’ve worked in the beauty industry for years, and I’ve never experienced a place quite like Lush. All the women are so encouraging and supportive of each other. It truly feels like the embodiment of “community over competition”. I believe that’s what makes Lush such a special place to be in.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED FOR THIS YEAR, BOTH PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY?
Personally, I’m really excited about new adventures and experiences - like traveling, experiencing more of nature, and taking more risks. Life is way too short, and we’re only blessed with one. Fear is a waste of time. I really just want to savor everything that I can.
Professionally, I want to become better as an artist and as a content creator. I love being able to show people how special of a place Lush is - and I think that focusing in on new skill sets related to social media and web design will only take me further in what I love to do.
IF YOU WERE AN ANIMAL, WHAT WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?
I would be a wolf. They’re complex, strong, brave, and intelligent. Above all - they have an extremely strong sense of loyalty and devotion to their family. I feel like my whole family are wolves. We stick together no matter what and we have each other’s backs in the toughest of times.
WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE IN YOUR PURSE WHEN YOU STEP FOOT INTO LUSH?
I have to have my phone and my obnoxiously huge water bottle. Content creation & staying hydrated are the name of the game for my work days at Lush.
