Q: WHY DID YOU CHOOSE HAIRSTYLING AS A CAREER?

A: The beauty industry has always been so fascinating to me. Growing up in Colorado, you have the best of both worlds — an environment where it’s celebrated to find what makes you feel beautiful both inside and out. It created a love and desire to help women around me find that within themselves.

Q: WHAT ARE YOU MOST GRATEFUL FOR WHEN YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING?

A: I am the most thankful for my babies! I have three incredible humans that I get to take care of every day and getting to laugh and play with them is the joy of my life.

Q: WHAT HAIR EDUCATION, IN THE PAST YEAR, DO YOU FEEL HAS FURTHERED YOUR ARTISTRY?

A: After I finished school I knew I wanted to assist somewhere for a year to further my education and learn how to fine-tune the skills I learned in school. During that year I became certified in NBR and have been able to absorb myself in the world of quality extensions. Doing the assistant program at lush was the best thing I could’ve done for my growth as a stylist.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF HAIRSTYLING?

A: Two things I love about hairstyling. I absolutely love the after process. Finishing their hair and taking pics afterward. There’s something so magical about getting your hair done and having someone hype you up while getting your picture taken. Giving people that gorgeous energy fills my soul. The second thing I love is getting to know clients. Giving them a safe space to talk about happy things or sad things or anything their hearts desire.

Q: IF YOU WERE AN ANIMAL, WHAT ANIMAL WOULD YOU BE?

A: If I could be any animal I would be an elephant. I love what elephants symbolize. They are symbols of luck and prosperity. They are powerful beings that use their strength to remove obstacles and negative forces. My most favorite thing about mama elephants is the circle they form when another one is giving birth (or if one of them is hurt) they protect each other and will not let any outside harm come in to hurt their pack.

Q: WHAT IS IT ABOUT HAIRSTYLING THAT BRINGS YOU JOY?

A: Getting to meet people and their willingness to trust me with their hair, trust me with their time, and trust me with their energy - best part of my job!
